Unity 2017 crashes to desktop when using shaderforge (placing a node, connecting something, random)

2017.3.1p3, shaderforge seems very unstable, it will crash when I place a node, sometimes I'm able to place a few nodes, sometimes it crashes trying to connect a node (a normal connection, not breaking things). No errors in the console or error log. This makes it impossible for me to work with shaderforge.
