Shader Forge freezes upon restart

joshuaengland3d 11 years ago updated by Freya Holmér (Developer) 11 years ago 2

So after downloading and installing correctly, I was messing around with producing a simple shader with a cubemap. I had Shader Forge open on my second monitor, also using Unity 4.2 pro.

I then shut down Unity and restarted it to see what would happen. Upon reload, the Shader Forge window was open on the second monitor, but it was empty. The console produced this message. I was no longer able to open a new Shader Forge window or close the old, blank one that appeared.

This is now fixed in Alpha 0.10 :)

More info: I was able to close it by clicking several pixels below the exit button (hidden down in the grey part). That closed the Shader Forge window. I was then able to open a new window with no problems. So there is a workaround, though I'm sure an annoying bug to most :P

This is quite a messy bug, seems to be related to many of the other problems people are experiencing. I'll try and get this fixed by 0.04 :)
