Normal Dir. Perturbed not working

So when I check the checkbox in Normal Dir. Perturbed i get this error.

Shader error in 'Shader Forge/test_shader': undeclared identifier 'normalDirection' at line 105 (on d3d11)
Compiling Vertex program with SHADOWS_DEPTH LIGHTMAP_OFF DIRLIGHTMAP_OFF DYNAMICLIGHTMAP_OFF

I have tried the shader in all the light modes but can't get it to work.
Not a bug
You can't plug a perturbed normal into the vertex offset or outline width input, which I'm guessing you did :)
You can't use it in the normal slot either - perturbed means *after* whatever you have in the normal slot is applied.
