Panning around the graph on ALT+MMB/MMB/Q+LMB
Perhaps limit panning the graph to ALT+MMB or MMB? or q+LMB so we can have LMB+Drag to multi-select

My general reasoning is that the most accessible button (LMB in this case) should probably be assigned to the most common action. I believe panning the camera is more common than node selection. Anyhow, this is perhaps something that the user should be able to specify themselves in some config :)

Yeah it would be good to be able to config that, just because the most common way of panning in Unity is MMB and dragging a box around nodes to select and move really is an almost unconscious action and so keeps surprising me when the canvas pans.
