Bigger zoom steps

The zoom functionality is great however it might just be a tiny bit too granular: I think a single mouse wheel step should change the view more profoundly.

FilterForge does the zoom in 3 steps:

It makes zooming in and out really quick, although sometimes I do feel that perhaps 4 steps would have been even better.

This will have to be something that users can control, as I believe this depends on platforms and your OS scroll speed etc.

So yeah, it could be a new setting at some point :)

For me the zoom just works perfectly fine, like Joachim says it must be related to your scrollwheel settings. On my side(win7) zooming is not stepped but smooth.

That is my point: it takes too much finger work to zoom out far enough. A few (3-4) distinct stages would speed up things as smoothness / granularity as a feature is not helpful in this case. You probably didn't say to yourself: Damn, I'd like to see the node tree 3% smaller...
