Vector 1 gone?
Was the Vector 1 node taken out recently cause I don't see it in the list of nodes... only Vector 1,2,3,4

Nothing should have been taken out. Value is the same as Vector1, it should be in the list!
How does it look for you? What happens when you load a shader containing a Vector1/Value ?
False alarm! I see the "Value" node now :) Case closed.
