It shouldn't happen with a diffuse map, but you can't use the alpha channels on texture nodes marked as normal maps. How does your node tree look?
I suppose, for now, as a temporary fix, you can plug in a value of 0 into alpha, and reset all the blending options to opaque, and it should work!

I suppose. Parallax mapping is quite expensive though, so, you might be better off not using it at all, if you're going that widespread!

Probably because alpha clipping is done before the view vector is calculated
Does it make the shader pink or does it look wrong?
