Shader Forge doesn't support betas in general, so this is expected at the moment I'm afraid
What did you do when it happened / do you have a repro case?
Telling me I made a bad decision and calling my code awfully designed won't help. Telling me which Unity and SF version you were using, and when/how you triggered it, will though.

Although it's a bit weird that you're getting an error from it
Use the append node, and append RGB with A, and you'll get a float4

That looks like standard depth sorting issues, which you'll get with any alpha-blended, even with Unity's built-in ones. Or was the issue something else?
This has now been fixed in 1.28
